About Donna Larson Kane
A high school science teacher sent me, a fidgety teenager, into the field to gather water and soil samples for testing in the lab. I’d never thought about nature scientifically, and it completely opened my world! Eager to learn more, I attended University of Maine at Orono as a Soils major. There, I was fortunate to attend a transformative class, Land Use Planning, which led me to the world of planning.
Since receiving my Masters in Public Policy and Planning from University of Southern Maine over 25 years ago, I have supported several Maine cities and towns with their planning needs. Throughout my career in the public and private sector, I’ve had the opportunity to spearhead multiple renewable energy projects, create innumerable municipal zoning ordinances, and review countless development projects. I look forward to bringing this experience to your project to support your business or town.
In my spare time, I enjoy gardening - the Soils Major in me has never left! I also love quilting, cooking, and spending time with my family.
